Renegade is a little bit different than the other customs I’ve painted because his lettering reads vertically; up his back, over his head and down the front of his body. The lettering along his base is only half legible, therefore living up to his name as a renegade amongst my typical creations. I incorporated blade-like shapes into his design, and chevrons (a military insignia), and contrasted that imagery with a full heart and the colours of love: pink & red. These colours are divided down his body, and if you look closely you can see that even his eyes are two different colours too! The heart over his throat suggests that although he is a rebel, everything he does is fueled by love. In fact he is soaked & dripping in it.
Renegade is an outlaw, living life as an enigma apart from societal expectations. Decked out in sharp blades he appears to be something feared, but he actually isn’t… he simply follows his own path. He has encountered a few fights along the way, but he never forgets that love is the inspiration which continues to drive him.
