Plush Art Show: Crammed Organisms Book

I finally received my copy of the Crammed Organisms book!  It features work from over 120 talented plush artists who all participated in the Crammed Organisms show back in June 2008.  It is available in Crammed Organisms’ Etsy shop for $35.

I have two pages in the book. The first page features my plushies that were in the show…

…and the second page features some of my drawings, my other plush creations, and my studio in LA!

Next blog entry will be from my new apartment in LA. I think my kitty suspects there’s a move in his near future!  ^_^

Plush Art Show: Crammed Organisms — book cover revealed!

The book cover has been announced for the Crammed Organisms 2008 plush show! I think it’s so pretty with the wood grain background, and the super cute art by Kill Taupe. It will be a limited edition soft cover book of 5000, measuring 8×8 inches, with 130 colour pages. It will be available for pre-order at the end of May 2008 on the Crammed Organisms website. The first 500 pre-orders come with a limited edition print set, featuring 10 unique pieces from some of Crammed Organisms artists. Hooray, I can’t wait to see it!

Plush Art Show: Crammed Organisms — DONE!

I’ve *finally* finished my 8 plushies for Crammed Organisms! They took me a full week to complete (with lots of help from: English Breakfast tea, Apricots for snacking on, Goldfrapp for listening to, my cat for keeping me company, and my ex for saying I’m doing a good job). These plushies were really fun to make (and the dollies were the most detailed plush I have ever worked on — plushies who have their own plushies, I must be crazy!  lol.), but I am happy they’re finally done so I can give my fingers a break! ^_^ ::flops::  Here they are:

Nurse Ratchet & Bandaged Bear

Sweet Lolita & Pink Bunny

Miscordia & Black Bunny (my favourite — I wanted to keep her!)

Little Red & Gingerbread Buddies

4 Deer plushies

And here are a few in progress shots:

My kitty Lucky was my little clingy companion during this week. If you look closely, you can spot him in the pic above. ^_^ He likes to hang out with me while I sew/draw/paint. Here’s a portrait I took of him while he was making himself comfortable:

Plush Art Show: Crammed Organisms

I’m so happy to say that I’ve been accepted into the plush art show Crammed Organisms! I am soooo excited! The show will be held this June in 4 different venues in the city of St. Louis. There are tons of amazingly talented plush artists who have been accepted as well. Check them out HERE (I’m listed as “Follow The White Rabbit”). The hosts are even going to publish a book about all the plush art in the show! YAY! Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it to the show, but I’m looking forward to seeing pics from it. ^_^

I gotta get back to sewing up a storm! ::stuffing flies everywhere::
